Equidistribution of Hecke

eigenforms on the modular surface Image33

Abstract

In June, one of the invited speakers of the Programme on Lie Groups 2001, Professor Wenzhi Luo, gave a talk on equidistribution of Hecke eigenforms on the modular surface Image34(at UST). His focus is an analogue of the unique quantum ergodicity conjecture for holomorphic cusp forms. He proved an averaged result which supports the validity of this analogue.

In this presentation, we shall have a review on Luo's work and investigate a generalization to the modular surface Image35.
