Moduli spaces in Algebraic Geometry
AbstractModuli spaces are algebraic varieties or schemes whose points represent objects of algebraic geometry of a certain specified type. Such objects could be plane curves of fixed degree, abstract algebraic curves of a fixed genus, polarized varieties of fixed Euler characteristics, vector bundles with fixed Chern classes, or many other objects. After a motivation of a formal definition of moduli spaces by some classical examples more recent moduli spaces will be considered.
