Abstract

The projectivised nilpotent orbit closure (in a complex semi-simple Lie algebra) carries a natural contact structure. It turns out that for such varieties a crepant resolution is a resolution on which the contact structure extends to the whole variety.  In this talk, we will determine when such a resolution exists, and in the case of several different ones, we will compare them by describing their movable cones.
