Painlevé
Differential Equations
in
the Complex Plane

Abstract
This talk is devoted to
considering Painlevé differential equations from the complex analytic point of
view. More precisely, we are concentrating ourselves to looking at the
meromorphic nature of solutions, their growth and their value distribution. As
to the meromorphic nature, the sixth Painlevé equation will be described in
some detail, while for the growth considerations, the second and fourth
equations serve as our models. The value distribution of Painlevé solutions is
our main source of open problems.
