In middle 70's Professor Siu and Yau initiated the program on the  uniformization of complete Kaehler manifolds with nonnegative curvature. The sharp dimension estimate on the holomorphic functions of polynomial growth is an  important step of the program. It is also conjectured by Yau in his problem list later on. We will report on the recent solution of this problem.
