Abstract
In
this talk, we shall give two examples to demonstrate an interesting phenomenon
in the theory of the Riemann zeta function: Assuming some properties on the
Riemann zeta function, one can obtain a better result on another problem which
apparently has nothing to do with the assumption. The first example is about Karatsuba conjecture and Lindelof
hypothesis. We shall prove that Lindelof hypothesis
implies Karatsuba conjecture. The second one is on
horizontal and vertical zero distribution of the Riemannn
zeta function.
