In my talk I would like to survey
some results on the divisibility of class numbers of quadratic number fields.
In particular, I would like concentrate on the problem of getting an upper
bound on the number of real quadratic fields whose class number is divisible by
a given integer with field discriminant is bounded by
a large real number.
