Meng Chen, Fudan University, Shanghai, China On threefolds
of general type with small genus: g = 1/2 Abstract Due to recent
development on explicit birational geometry in
dimension 3, we can classify 3-folds of general type into about a dozen of
classes by introducing the "numerical genus g" (as a birational
invariant). From the definition, g =
1/n (2 £ n £ 18) or g ³ 2 and in fact, the case g ³ 2 is known up to some extent. In the
first part of this new series, we study some explicit birational geometry of
3-folds with g = 1/2. |
